Terms of use.
Tazuz Terms of Use
Agreement to our legal terms
We are Karol Billik, established in Slovakia ("we", "us", "our"). We run the Tazuz iPhone app (called Ryck in Sweden, internal name Leeway) and the website tazuz.karchi.xyz (together, the "Services"). Tazuz keeps distracting apps locked, using Apple's Screen Time, until you earn minutes with push-ups that the iPhone camera counts. Contact: billikkarol3@gmail.com.
These Terms of Use are a binding agreement between you and us about the Services. By downloading or using Tazuz you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. The licence to use the app itself is in our End User License Agreement, which is part of these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens with information.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and must approve any purchase. The app is for ages 13 and over. We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version, and we will show a notice in the app for a material change. If you keep using the Services after a change, you accept it. If you do not accept a change to a paid service, you may cancel (section 6).
1. Our services
In short: Tazuz is a tool that helps you move before you scroll.
Tazuz is offered in Israel and Sweden for iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Anyone who uses it from elsewhere does so on their own initiative and is responsible for following local law. Tazuz is not a medical, safety or parental-control product.
2. Intellectual property rights
We own or license the app, its code, design, text, sounds, logos and the names Tazuz, תזוז, Ryck and Leeway (the "Content" and "Marks"). They are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We give you only the personal, limited licence in the EULA. You may not copy, sell, license or exploit the Content or Marks for any commercial purpose without our written permission. Write to billikkarol3@gmail.com to ask.
If you send us feedback or ideas, you let us use them freely and without payment, and you keep the rights to anything personal you send.
3. Who may use Tazuz
By using the Services you confirm that: you are 13 or older; if you are under 18 a parent or guardian has permitted your use and any purchase; you have the legal capacity to agree to these terms; you will not use automated or non-human means to use the Services; and you will not use them for anything unlawful. Information you give us must be accurate.
4. Purchases and payment
In short: Apple takes the payment. The price you see before you confirm is the price.
Tazuz is free to download, and its paid features need a subscription. All purchases are made through the Apple App Store, in your local currency, and paid with your Apple Account. Apple, not us, collects the payment and decides which payment methods you can use. The price, billing period and any free-trial terms are those displayed to you in the app before you confirm, and they govern that purchase. Apple shows the taxes that apply in your country at checkout. Because we test prices, trial lengths and offers, they may differ between users and change over time; a change never affects a period you already paid for.
5. Subscriptions
Billing and renewal
Tazuz offers auto-renewing subscriptions, yearly and weekly. Your subscription renews at the end of each period at the price shown at purchase, and Apple charges your Apple Account, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple charges the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Free trial
We may offer a free trial, and whether you get one, and its length, depends on the plan, on your eligibility under Apple's rules and on the trial test we run. It is shown in the app before you confirm. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged the displayed price. Apple's rules usually allow a free trial only once per Apple Account.
Price changes
We may change prices. If a change affects an existing subscription, Apple tells you and asks for your consent where the law requires it. If you do not agree, cancel before the change takes effect.
Using Tazuz without a subscription
If a subscription ends, the paid features stop. You can turn all locks off in Settings at any time.
6. Cancellation, refunds and your consumer rights
In short: cancel in Apple Settings. Apple handles refunds. Your legal rights stay.
- Cancel. On your iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Tazuz. Or in the app: Settings, Manage subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
- Refunds. Apple handles refunds under its own rules: reportaproblem.apple.com. You can also write to us and we will help you with the request.
- EU and EEA (including Sweden): right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer, you may have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content or services. When you start the subscription and use the paid features within those 14 days, you ask us to start the service immediately and acknowledge that, as the law provides, the right of withdrawal ends once the digital content has been fully provided, or that you pay a proportionate amount for the service you have used if you withdraw earlier. If you withdraw during a free trial you pay nothing.
- Israel. Israeli consumer law, including the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981 and its regulations, gives consumers rights to cancel certain transactions, for example distance transactions. These terms do not reduce them.
- Everywhere. Your mandatory rights under the law of the country where you live are not affected by anything in these terms.
7. Health and fitness
In short: push-ups are exercise. Train within your limits.
The exercises in Tazuz are general physical activity, not medical advice, and Tazuz does not assess your health. Talk to a doctor before you start if you have a health condition, an injury, or are pregnant, or if you are unsure. Train at a pace that suits your body on a safe, non-slip surface with space around you, and stop at once if you feel pain, dizziness or discomfort. You use Tazuz at your own risk, to the extent the law allows. The camera count is an estimate: it can be wrong, and you are responsible for deciding how much to do.
8. Screen Time and the locks
In short: Tazuz is a tool. It is not a guarantee.
Tazuz uses Apple's Screen Time features, which you allow in iOS. You choose which apps to lock and you can turn the locks off in the app whenever you like. Because the locks depend on iOS and on your own settings, we cannot promise that they will work in every situation or every iOS version, or that they cannot be bypassed, for example by changing iOS settings or deleting the app. Do not lock apps you may need in an emergency, for work or for safety. Tazuz does not replace parental controls, and we are not responsible for how much time you spend on your phone.
9. Mobile application licence
The app is licensed to you, not sold, under our EULA. In addition, because you get the app from the Apple App Store: these terms are between you and us only, not Apple; Apple has no duty to provide maintenance or support for the app; if the app does not meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple and Apple may refund the price you paid, and Apple has no other warranty duty for the app; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you. You must also follow Apple's Media Services Terms and any other terms that apply to your device.
10. Prohibited activities
You may use the Services only for the purpose we offer them. You agree not to:
- copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or try to get the source code of the app, except where the law allows it;
- get around, disable or interfere with the app's security, its counting, its subscription or its paywall, or help others do so;
- use scripts, bots, devices or recordings to fake push-ups or to make the app count what was not done;
- scrape, copy or collect data from the Services automatically;
- overload or disrupt the Services or the networks behind them;
- use the Services to build a competing product, or for any commercial purpose we have not approved;
- use the Services in breach of any law, or to harm anyone.
The app has no accounts and does not let you post content or contact other users, so we do not host user content. If that changes we will update these terms first.
11. Third-party websites and services
The Services link to third parties such as Apple (the App Store, Screen Time, subscription management). We do not control and are not responsible for them; their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
12. Privacy policy
Please read our Privacy Policy. It forms part of these terms and explains what we collect, which providers we use and where data is stored.
13. Term and termination
These terms apply while you use the Services. You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription (section 6) and deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, for example by section 10, or if the law requires it, and we will tell you why where we can. If we end your access without your breach, we will refund the unused part of a period you paid for, through Apple where possible. Sections that by their nature continue (intellectual property, liability, governing law) continue after the terms end.
14. Modifications and interruptions
We may change, update or remove features, for example to keep up with iOS. We try to keep the Services running, but cannot promise they will always be available: maintenance, iOS updates or problems at Apple or our providers may cause interruptions. If we make a change that materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell you and you may cancel. Nothing here limits your legal rights if the app does not match what we promised.
15. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of Slovakia, and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of the country where you live (for example Israel or Sweden), and nothing in these terms takes that away. The courts of Slovakia have non-exclusive jurisdiction. As a consumer you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and you may complain to the consumer authority there.
16. Dispute resolution
If you have a problem, write to billikkarol3@gmail.com first. We will reply and try to solve it in good faith, normally within 30 days. This is not required before you go to a court or authority, and nothing here limits your right to do so. We do not use arbitration, and we do not ask you to waive any right to join a class or collective action to the extent the law gives you one.
17. Corrections
The Services may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies, including in descriptions and prices. We may correct them. If an error is in the price you were shown, the price shown at the time of your purchase in the App Store applies to that purchase.
18. Disclaimer
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". Subject to the law, we do not promise that they will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. This does not remove any guarantee or right that the law gives you as a consumer, for example that digital content must work as described and be free of defects.
19. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our fault, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profit or lost data, and our total liability to you for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us (through Apple) in the 12 months before the claim arose. Because the app involves physical exercise, we are not liable for injury that comes from not following section 7, to the extent the law allows.
20. Your data
Your workout history and settings are stored on your phone only. We have no copy and cannot restore them if you delete the app, erase the data or lose the phone. Keep your device backed up as Apple offers.
21. Electronic communications
Using the Services, writing to us and accepting these terms in the app are electronic communications. You agree that notices we give you by email, in the app or on this website meet any legal requirement that they be in writing.
22. Miscellaneous
These terms, with the EULA and the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. If part of them is invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right at once, we have not given it up. We may transfer our rights and duties to a successor of the app; you may not transfer yours. Neither side is liable for failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These terms do not make you and us partners, agents or employer and employee.
