Privacy policy.
Tazuz Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we process, why, and what choices you have when you use the Tazuz iPhone app (called Ryck in Sweden, internal name Leeway) and this website. "We", "us" and "our" mean Karol Billik, the person who decides how and why the information is processed (the "controller"). Questions: billikkarol3@gmail.com.
Summary of key points
- What do we process? No account, no name, no email. We receive anonymous usage events tied to a random ID, and subscription records tied to a different random ID. Details in section 1.
- The camera? Push-ups are counted on your phone. No photo, video or body-pose data is stored or sent.
- Sensitive information? We do not ask for or process special categories of data, and we never see which apps you lock.
- Do we get information from third parties? Only subscription status from RevenueCat and sales reports from Apple.
- Who do we share it with? Two service providers that work for us, Mixpanel (analytics, stored in the EU) and RevenueCat (subscriptions, United States). Nothing is sold or used for advertising. Details in section 4.
- Can you switch it off? Yes. Settings has a switch, "Share anonymous usage". The app works the same without it.
- Your rights? Access, correction, deletion and more, and a complaint to the authority in Sweden (IMY), Israel (Privacy Protection Authority) or your country. Details in section 9.
- How do you use them? Write to us at billikkarol3@gmail.com.
1. What information do we collect?
In short: anonymous usage events and subscription records. Your workouts, your apps and your camera stay on your phone.
Information you give us
- Emails. If you write to us we get your email address, your name if it shows, and what you write.
- "How did you hear about us?" You pick an answer. If you choose "Other" and type text, that text is sent with the usage events (up to 50 characters, on one line). Please do not type personal details there.
- Your age. The app asks your age range once. The answer is not stored or sent. If you say you are under 13, the app stops sending usage events (section 8).
Information collected through the app
- Anonymous usage events, sent to Mixpanel. They show us where people get stuck. They cover: which onboarding steps were viewed and finished; which paywall screen was shown, which plan was chosen and whether a purchase or restore worked (never payment details); a workout summary (type, reps, minutes earned, and a broad reason if no reps were counted, such as camera access not granted); app opens, subscription state (none, trial, active, ended and similar) and days since install; the app language, the market (Israel or Sweden), the build type and whether notifications are on; and which version of the trial test you are in.
- A random device ID. Mixpanel creates a random ID for your installation. It is not Apple's advertising ID (IDFA) or vendor ID (IDFV), and we cannot link it to a name, an account or a person. We have turned off Mixpanel's IP-based location lookup. Like any internet service, Mixpanel sees your IP address when your phone connects.
- Subscription records, handled by RevenueCat. RevenueCat gives your installation another random app user ID, and receives your purchase records from Apple (which plan, dates, trial or paid, renewal and refund status, price and store country) and technical request data such as your IP address. It never receives your card details or your Apple Account details. While "Share anonymous usage" is on, the app also gives RevenueCat Mixpanel's random ID, so that renewals, trial conversions and refunds can be matched to usage events. No name, email or other attribute is passed.
- Permissions you grant. Camera: frames are analysed on the phone to count push-ups and are discarded. Screen Time: the apps you choose to lock are held by Apple as opaque tokens that we cannot read, and nothing derived from them is sent. Notifications: reminders are scheduled on the phone. We run no push server and send nothing about them.
Information that stays on your phone
Your workout history, minutes, streak, settings and the apps you lock. We never receive them. "Erase all data" in Settings deletes them and starts a new random analytics ID.
Our website
We set no cookies and run no analytics on this website. Our host, Vercel, processes technical request data such as your IP address in server logs to deliver the pages and keep them secure.
What we never collect
- your name, email, phone number or an account (the app has none);
- photos, video or body-pose data from the camera;
- which apps you lock, how many, or how long you use them;
- your location, contacts, photos, health records or an advertising ID. The app asks no tracking permission.
2. How do we process your information?
In short: to run the app and the subscription, fix and improve it, and meet our legal duties.
- To provide the app and the subscription: to check which plan you have, unlock the paid features and restore a purchase.
- To understand how the app is used: to see where onboarding or a workout fails and what to fix, and to compare trial and price options.
- To answer you: to reply to emails and support requests.
- To protect the app: to keep it secure and prevent misuse.
- To comply with the law: for example tax and accounting records, and requests from authorities.
We do not use information for advertising, profiling or marketing, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means.
3. What legal bases do we rely on?
In short: your permission, a contract with you, our interest in improving the app, and legal duties.
If you are in the EU or EEA (including Sweden)
The GDPR requires us to name the legal basis for each purpose:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Counting push-ups with the camera, local reminders, Screen Time locks | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): you grant the permission in iOS and can withdraw it in iOS Settings at any time. This happens on your phone. |
| Subscription: plan check, restore, trial and renewal status | Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): needed to provide what you bought. |
| Anonymous usage analytics and the trial test | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): fixing and improving the app. The data is anonymous and minimal, and the Settings switch stops it at once. You can object at any time by using the switch. |
| Replying to your emails | Contract or legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(b), (f)). |
| Tax and accounting, requests from authorities | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)). |
If you are in Israel
Israeli law rests on informed consent and on using information only for the purpose it was collected for. Where consent is needed, you give it through the iOS permissions and the controls in the app, and you can withdraw it as described in section 9. We use information only for the purposes in section 2. You are not legally required to provide us with personal information, and the app works without the usage switch.
4. When and with whom do we share your information?
In short: only with the providers below, who work for us under contract. We do not sell information.
| Who | What for | What they receive | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mixpanel, Inc. | Analytics (processor) | Anonymous usage events and the random device ID | Stored in the EU (EU data residency) |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | Subscriptions and the trial test (processor) | Random app user ID, purchase records from Apple, technical request data, Mixpanel's random ID while sharing is on | United States |
| Apple | App Store, payments, Screen Time (independent controller) | Your purchase and your Apple Account. We get only sales and App Store reports without names. | Under Apple's own terms and privacy policy |
| Vercel Inc. | Hosting of this website (processor) | Technical request data in server logs | Global network, United States |
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our rights.
- Business transfer. If the app is sold or merged, the information may move to the new owner, which must keep to this policy.
- We do not use ad networks, offer walls, data brokers or social-media tracking, and we do not sell or share information for advertising.
5. Is your information transferred to other countries?
In short: usage events are stored in the EU. Subscription data goes to the United States under standard contract clauses.
Mixpanel stores our usage events in the EU, for users in Sweden and in Israel alike. RevenueCat processes data in the United States; for users in the EU and EEA the transfer rests on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in RevenueCat's data processing agreement. Where Mixpanel's staff in the United States access data, it relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses and, where it is certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For users in Israel we send information only to providers that are bound by contract to protect it. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards.
6. How long do we keep your information?
In short: only as long as we need it. Data on your phone stays until you erase it.
- On your phone: until you tap Settings, "Erase all data", or delete the app.
- Usage events at Mixpanel: as long as they are needed for the analysis described above, and until you ask us to delete them. Because they are anonymous, we can delete them only if we can identify them (see section 9).
- Subscription records at RevenueCat: as long as the subscription service runs, and as long as accounting or tax rules require records of purchases.
- Emails: as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, then deleted.
When we no longer need information we delete it or make it fully anonymous.
7. How do we keep your information safe?
In short: by collecting very little.
We collect as little as we can, keep what matters on your phone, use established providers, and send data over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you we will tell you and the authority as the law requires.
8. Do we collect information from children?
In short: the app is for ages 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
When you set up the app it asks your age. If you say you are under 13, the app stops sending usage events from that moment, does not store the answer and shows that the app is not for your age; a flag on the device remembers the stop. People aged 13 to 17 are asked to buy a subscription with a parent's Apple Account or approval. If you are a parent and believe a child under 13 uses the app, write to us and we will help and delete what we hold. Where local law sets a higher age for digital services, a parent's permission is needed up to that age.
9. What are your privacy rights?
In short: you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to its use, and complain to the authority.
If you are in the EU or EEA (including Sweden)
You have the right to: access your information and get a copy; have it corrected; have it deleted; restrict its processing; object to processing based on legitimate interests; receive it in a portable format where it applies; and not be subject to a decision based only on automated processing (we make none). You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority. In Sweden that is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY, imy.se). You may also complain to the authority in the country where you live or in Slovakia, where we are established.
If you are in Israel
Under the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, as amended by Amendment 13 (in force from August 2025), you may ask to review the information held about you and to have it corrected or deleted where it is wrong, incomplete, unclear or out of date, and you may object to its use for direct marketing (we do none). You may complain to the Privacy Protection Authority (gov.il/he/departments/the_privacy_protection_authority).
Anonymous data and how to ask
The usage events carry only a random ID, so we cannot tell which events are yours unless you help. The fastest controls are on your phone: switch off "Share anonymous usage" in Settings (nothing more is sent and queued events are deleted), or "Erase all data" (a new random ID starts). To ask us to delete or show events under a specific ID, or for any other request, email billikkarol3@gmail.com. We reply within one month and may ask you to confirm who you are. We may refuse a request that the law allows us to refuse, and we will tell you why.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw a permission at any time in iOS Settings (camera, notifications, Screen Time) or switch off "Share anonymous usage" in the app. Withdrawing does not affect what was lawful before.
10. Controls for Do-Not-Track features
The app does not track you across other apps or websites, uses no advertising ID and shows no tracking prompt. There is no agreed standard for "Do Not Track" signals, so we do not respond to them, because there is nothing to respond to: we do not track.
11. Do residents of other regions have specific privacy rights?
In short: the app is offered in Israel and Sweden; this section covers other cases.
United States. The app is not offered in the United States. If a US state privacy law applies to you: we do not sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or profile you. In the last twelve months we collected identifiers (random device IDs), commercial information (subscription status) and app activity (usage events), for the purposes in section 2. You may ask to know, access, correct, delete or get a copy of your information, and we will not treat you worse for asking. Write to billikkarol3@gmail.com; we may need to verify who you are, and an authorised agent may ask for you with proof. If we refuse you may appeal by replying to us, and then complain to your state attorney general.
Elsewhere. If another country's law gives you privacy rights, write to us and we will respect them as the law requires.
12. Do we make updates to this policy?
In short: yes, when the app or the law changes.
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. If a change is material, for example a new provider or a new kind of information, we will show a notice in the app before it applies.
13. How can you contact us about this policy?
Karol Billik, billikkarol3@gmail.com. By post: Borová 9, 951 01 Nitrianske Hrnčiarovce, Slovakia. This page: tazuz.karchi.xyz/en/privacy
14. How can you review, update or delete the information we collect from you?
There is no account to log in to. On your phone: Settings in the app lets you switch off "Share anonymous usage", "Erase all data" and "Manage subscription". iOS Settings lets you change permissions and delete the app. For anything held on our side, see section 9 and write to billikkarol3@gmail.com.
